I bought the Chronological Study Bible because I had never seen anything like it before and thought it would be a neat addition to my collection of Study Bibles.
This Study Bible is so different because it takes the traditional sequencing of the books of the Bible and rearranges them with the stated goal "To help readers acquire a greater appreciation for the historical of the Biblical message."
Entire books of the Bible and portions of some books are moved, and in some cases combined, to provide the reader a perspective of how things from different books fit together chronologically. For instance all four of the Gospels are combined to provide one presentation according to the sequence of the Gospel of Mark. In other cases the Bible will appear as it normally does sequence-wise.
This feature is like a reference tool I have often used to study the Bible called The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. I have used it to find related or parallel verses by the verse, but this compilation of entire books is really a step forward!
